Trident Winds has submitted an unsolicited lease request for a site to develop a floating offshore wind project planned to be located over 40 miles off the coast of Grays Harbor, Washington.

Project Overview

INNOVATIVE PROJECT FOR WASHINGTON: Washington state has set ambitious clean energy targets and this project will help the state to meet those goals. The proposed project has a generating capacity target of 2,000 megawatts that would deliver clean, renewable energy to approximately 800,000 homes in a way that is consistent with environmental stewardship responsibilities for future generations. The proposed project presents an important inward investment opportunity for coastal communities and the state of Washington.

Trident Winds has submitted an unsolicited lease request to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) thus kick-starting the offshore wind development process in the state of Washington.

The site location has been revised and updated to eliminate any possible overlap into the Quinault Indian Nation’s usual and accustomed areas.
